About
The basic concept of Link furniture was Tamás Boldizsár's master work at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest, where He studied furniture design, as well as an Erasmus semester in Denmark at Deignskolen Kolding where He attended a workshop in the subject Play& Design. He was very inspired by this kind of design approach. So this was the catalyst to create a furniture system to motivate the average user to create their own furniture in a playful way.
After his graduation Tamás started to work with his friend Miklós Gönci software engineer to create a great software which helps user to design their unique furnitures. The result of their work is LINK Designer online application.
The 3D printing technology allows one to realize this system because every different furniture assembly needs different type of corners.
With a classical manufacturing process it would be an impossible mission.
The logo with an ant symbolizes that users can build their own furniture like the ant builds the house for itself. Also the users can share and modify their ideas so they are like a huge ant colony.
